Good morning. My name is Pastor Charlie Valentine, I was appointed here to Seneca castle starting July 1st. I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I am married to my precious bride Roberta known as Bobbie that's Bobbie with. We live in the Sodus United Third Methodist Church Parsonage located 56 West Main St. Sodus NY 14551. Bobbie and I both Pastors in the Methodist Church. Bobbie serves Sodus United Third and the Lyons United Methodist Church. While I serve here at Seneca Castle and at Aloquin/Flint UMC on st.rt.5&20. We both grow up in the Fingerlakes region. We have a blended family with four children. Two girls Rebecca being the oldest Merri being the youngest and we two boys Joe and Seth. We have six grandchildren. We have known our share of heartache with the loss of two daughters Ashley and Shannon and the loss of one grandson Jacob. We love walking, fishing, kayaking, bird watching (mainly at our feeders), eating out, NCIS, FBI, Ancient Aliens, ok I will stop there(lol). In my Sermons I use props, humor, and the word of Jesus Christ that is found in the Bible. I also love HELP! I encourage and will encourage all of you to be a reader, acolyte, greeter, help with the offertory or one of the many other places you can or like to be involved as part of our Church. Generate excitement
There is a wonderful Native American story about a grandfather who is teaching his grandchild an important lesson about life. The wise grandfather sits his grandchild down and begins to tell him about a battle, a fight. He: There is a fight going on inside of me. It is a terrible fight, he says, It is a fight going on between two wolves. One wolf is evil he lives only for anger and greed, arrogance, ego, self-pity. The other wolf is good, he lives for peace, hope, generosity, humility, compassion, truth and faith. Then the grandfather says, The very same fight is going on inside of you. In fact, these wolves fight inside of each and every one of us. Which wolf will win? the grandchild asks. The wolf that wins, the grandfather says, is the one that you feed.
